Coinage of Commitment Given Fast Track Priority by

Saga Books!

Coinage of Commitment CoverYes, it’s true. In an era when many authors must wait a year or more for their work to reach readers, Saga Books committed to a publication schedule of just three months. Better news yet is that they managed to beat their own best estimate! From mid April when the contract was received, to June 28th, when the books started rolling off the presses, only two months and one week elapsed.“…Wonder Woman is alive and well,” Rob wrote in an e-mail to supporters, “and she is editor in chief at Saga Books. Her name is Ruth M Thompson, and my hat is off to her in tribute, and in thanks.”

Why such Herculean effort for a first novel?

“I have to say that it is so rare to have a manuscript so well prepared and well written, not to mention the story proper. A true love story indeed and we love the ending.”Ruth M Thompson, Editor in Chief, Saga Books

And Saga was not the only royalty publisher interested in this title. Two other publishers offered contracts after reviewing the manuscript.

Nor was Ms Thompson the only editor to offer unsolicited comments.

“It’s a rare thing indeed for me to feel the urge to read ahead and find out how a book ends before I’m finished, but yours was an exception.”

“I’ve just finished reading and copy editing your manuscript (the ending is marvelous!),…”

“However, I must tell you now that your writing is superb, exquisite – the best to cross my desk in a long while.— Arlene Prunkl, Freelance Editor, Penultimate Editorial Services

Even some publishers who declined the manuscript for their programs had comments like the following:

"I was impressed with the writing itself. First, males are not typically able to convey emotions as strong as females, for the obvious gender reasons. Therefore, I was impressed with the depth of the writing. The lack of technical issues shows through the smooth quality of the word flow. The sample chapters are very engaging. I did not expect to tbe drawn in so well because it had such a literary fiction feeling to it at the start." -- LaurieAnne Cruea-Blosser, Publisher, Authors Ink Books
